Privacy policy
This site collects what you type into the enquiry form, the chat bubble or the careers form, and counts visits with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Here is what happens to each.
What we collect
When you send the enquiry form we receive your name, email address, the city or area you gave, the goal and training place you picked, the days and times you typed, anything you wrote in the message box, and your mobile number. The chat bubble on each page sends your message, your mobile number and, if you give one, an email address. The careers form, for coaches looking for work, sends your name, mobile number, town, the kind of coaching you do, how long you have coached and anything you write about yourself; it is kept separately from client enquiries and used only to contact you about work. We also receive the page you sent the form from, your IP address and the time, which the form uses to block spam.
When you simply read the site, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts the page view, and Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how the site is used. All three are described under cookies and analytics below, with when the last two do not load. Like any website, the host and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it, keep standard server logs of requests.
How we use it
To reply to you, to propose a session and to send a quote. Your details go by email to the owner of Fit Bud and to the coach matched to your area, and a copy is kept in a log on the site's own server, out of public reach, so an enquiry is not lost if an email fails. They are not sold, shared with advertisers or added to a mailing list. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to reply and, if you become a client, for the length of the coaching relationship.
Cookies and analytics
This site's own code sets no cookies and contains no advertising scripts. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, adds two things to every page at its edge. The first is a bot-detection check that sets one cookie, cf_clearance, recording that your browser passed it; it is HttpOnly, so the page cannot read it, and it lasts about a year. The second is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which this site uses to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not identify visitors. Its script loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends each page view to cloudflareinsights.com. The fonts are served from this site's own server, so no font service sees your visit. If a spam-protection widget is added to the form later, this page will say so.
Counting visits: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
Pages here load Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to see which pages people read, which buttons they press, and where a booking gets stuck, so we can make the site easier to use. Google's advertising features are switched off.
Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your rough location from your IP address, your device and browser, and the actions this site reports to it: opening the booking form, a form that did not send, a booking or chat message that did, opening or closing the chat bubble, pressing one of the main buttons, following a link to another site, downloading a file, reaching a page that does not exist, and how far down a page you scrolled. It never receives your name, email address, mobile number or anything you typed.
Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, which it can play back as a recording of the page. Every form on this site is hidden from it, so a recording shows an empty box where you typed.
Both set cookies to tell one visit from the next. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_D80GZG22PF on this site, kept for up to two years. Clarity sets _clck, kept for a year, and _clsk, kept for a day, on this site, and Microsoft sets CLID, MUID, MR, SM, SRM_B and ANONCHK on its own addresses, clarity.ms and bing.com. What Google and Microsoft keep, and for how long, is decided by them and is set out in their own privacy statements.
The addresses involved: Tag Manager loads from www.googletagmanager.com, Google Analytics receives at www.google-analytics.com (or region1.google-analytics.com) and at www.google.com, and Clarity loads from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms, syncs its cookie through c.clarity.ms and c.bing.com, and sends what it records to one collection address under clarity.ms that Microsoft picks for each visit, such as a.clarity.ms, e.clarity.ms, t.clarity.ms, u.clarity.ms or y.clarity.ms.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, none of this loads unless you press Accept on the banner. Everywhere else it loads by default. To know which applies, the page asks this site's own server which country Cloudflare places your connection in, and keeps the answer only for that browser tab. Your choice is kept in this browser's local storage for a year. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here, and Reject stops it loading on every page after that.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to the National Privacy Commission. Deletion requests are acted on within a reasonable time and confirmed by email.
Contact about privacy
Use the enquiry form and write "privacy" in the message box, reply to any email you have received from Fit Bud, or send us a message through the chat bubble.
